question about clutchpacks on a limited slip

question about clutchpacks on a limited slip

anyone know how i can check the clutch packs on the limited slip i just got today and i know almost nothing about limited slips other then how they work.

i took it apart and snapped a few pictures.

daniel, trust me get a rebuild kit should be 85 bucks anf be done with it man. no point in screwing with the rear end to have to do it again in a short time.

does anyone have a picture of a new clutch pack.

i really don't plan to spend any one on this.

i guess the clutches on mine look ok after looking at the new clutches in that kit, i really don't have the money to spend on a rebuild kit right now.

I have never worked on one. Is is fairly easy to put back together? I guess you have to do what you have to do.

its fairly simple to take the clutches out, you just take the cross pin out then remove the spring thing and spiders.

Actually the picture is from a 9 inch listing. I figured they were alike.

i was talking about the rebuild kit on ebay that he posted.

everything needs to be cleaned, theres metal shavings on a few of the parts, ill bring it up to your work tomorrow so you can look at it.

i guess the guy snapped an axle shaft, idk.
