i dont have an official total but i have approx $2500 on parts, paint and materials so the total inlcuding the truck is right around $8000.

Wow man I am so impressed! Thing needs a level bad though, a tuner will help out with everyday power too but its not the cheapest thing. Mine feels like a dump truck with out the tunes on it now.

ha ha, yeah a leveling kit is on the top of the mod list followed by a tuner but that wont happen untill i have the spare $$ did the tuner help the throttle lag on youre? thats the only complaint i have with this truck.

yeah the shifts are a but soft, but im used to my ranger, i had the shift pressure all the way up on that ha ha. im still trying to decide what tuner to get. i love the x-cal i have for my ranger but i like the idea of the extra gauges with the display with the edge tuners. ive been eying the gryphons as well

Go ahead and get the gryphon. The custom tunes are worth it and having those 4 other gauges is really nice.

As Lurch would say, "That's Awesome!".

Seriously though man, it looks great. I'm still hoping to make it out your way one day this week...maybe tomorrow? Let me know if you'll be around.

Like Trent said, a (good) tune will help just about everything. No throttle lag, firmer quicker shifts, noticeably more power. The transmission feels like it does a much better job getting power to the ground in general.
I got my xcal 2 tuned because I already had it, and use a scangauge 2 as well. If I didn't have the xcal 2 already, I would absolutely get the gryphon tuner.

FYI the only time I have ever hit anything with any vehicle was backing into the edge of the garage door opening with this truck. Slipping on ice/snow trying to back up my steep *** driveway, I let off the throttle and it kept going for what seemed like at least a full second. It doesn't do that any more!

Steve sent me a link to your rebuild. Thats a really nice job!

Whatever you do, DO NOT REMOVE THE STRIPES on Steve's truck!!! Everyone likes them, except him. Tell him to bring it in to remove the stripes and repaint the one on the tailgate.

Yup, that would be me. I now have a running EEC-IV SOHC. Just ran it for the first time last night. I had it running open manifolds for about an hour tonight. Only thing left is to swap out the 01 ECT sensor for the one from the 95 and modify the Y-pipe.
