My transmission is going out and found a ranger for parts low miles but rotted frame. It is a 2008 where mine is a 2000xlt 3.0 and the 2008 is a 4.0. ive looked vin decoder up got mixed results first it was my truck has a 4R44E then others said 5R55E. i think the 4r, Any ways will the 2008 fit my 2000 They are both the V6. I am not a ford guy but ive had this truck for sometime havent had to do much to it. Every where else ive posted i get hammerd with scammers go here buy a tranny..lmao Thanks..

 

No it will not fit, a 3.0 and a 4.0 have different bellhousing bolt patterns.
