Haha, so you did get a stack. Truck looks good! What's the bare aluminum piece in front? Looks like some kind of protection plate.

Might be something for the oil cooler? I think it might to prevent it from cooling too much?

Looks great Zach, moar pics of the stack!

Its to restrict cold air from hitting the oil cooler. It runs too cool if I dont have that in if its under 50* outside.

Figured that's what it is. Guess the oil cooler works well.

I did remove the leveling kit too. But I think I have posted pictures since then. I did add a stack, only cost me 100 bucks made it all myself

so far so good. I added a thermostat to it a while back but it still was funky. I then switched to T6 Rotella 5w-40 and everything is great. I usually run around 180 now.

rangerboy101 02-27-2011 03:07 PM

Looks good. That stack looks nice in there too.

ranger4.0 02-27-2011 03:09 PM

the stack really fits the look of the truck. why remove the leveling kit though?

I like the height and look but if i want to lift it Id rather just buy a real kit.

That stack saddens me deeply

I knew it would that is why I did it. :)

I didn't figure most would anyway. I like it but I like to be different

I like the stacks. I was trying to think of a word, and they almost look "humble".

Not too big and "here I am look at me". And they are black as well, which is awesome.

At least it isn't two of them, and it isn't chrome so it isn't that bad. If it was two chrome ones I would have banned you. I say you put the leveling kit back on, I think trucks look better a little higher in the front.

I do agree, that is what i was so hesitant to put it in in the first place but i thought I could do it and make it clean. I think I accomplished that. I also agree on how trucks look with the front end up. However pulling the gooseneck trailer it was absolutely unbearable. It might have just been the crappy ohio roads but that was enough for me to change it. I want to get air bags for the rear which is another reason I needed the 5" exhaust gone. One step at a time.

Looks great. That stack is perfect! Exactly what I want when I buy my diesel.

Looks good. Is there any reason it is in that spot instead of at the side?

zabeard 02-27-2011 07:29 PM

Yeah it's in line with the stock exhaust path.

FULLSCALE 02-27-2011 07:31 PM

Makes sense!
