The short bed is only 5" shorter than your ranger bed, but a foot wider and 6" or so deeper. With the tailgate down it is longer than a ranger 6' bed. Have you seen dodge megacabs with short beds? How about Nissan Titans? Talk about horrible looking short beds!

I agree with Zach about the leather. I spent months searching all over the region for the right truck. I settled on a couple of things finally. I didn't get leather, no sliding rear window, no automatic climate control. Otherwise I found exactly what I wanted. Of the things I didn't get, leather is the one I miss the most. But I wasn't willing to buy a similar truck that had leather that was smoked in a bunch (smelled terrible), or a Lariat because I didn't want a light interior. I wanted the black FX4 interior.

I actually like my tan cloth now. I wasn't a fan of the tan at first but I've grown to really like it. Cloth seats are great, mine don't show stains bad at all.

FX4 trim FTW! Center console with cloth. I get 15-16 mpg city too. I love my F-150. I'll never go back. I would go 07+ also. No spark plug problems and way more motor/CPU refinement.

Yes I'd PREFER leather...because with kids it cleans up easier than cloth. Second this isn't a wheeling rig. That's what my ranger is for. I'm not going to "SINK" it so to speak. I think you guys have the misconception that this is a play toy and it's not, which I made clear in the FIRST post. So other than the bleeding heart 4.6 liberals...(hahahah sorry Tom) anyone else.

It's gotta be a 2006 and up
Its gotta be 4wd
Its gotta have 5.4 V8

What I'd like:

Leather
Navigation
DVD player
3.73 gears
Lariat Trim

Is there any questions? LMAO....

So out of the truck's I posted pics of, most of them except the blue one fit the criteria.

Haha. I will look in the local area. Lots of F-150's running around here.

truck #2 because of the longer flared bed, low miles and competitive price compared to others, dislike blue, white the easiest to maintain but black is the most rewarding to detail so i vote 2nd black screw

we found actually 2 2007 Silver FX4's last night, here in town that just came in. One is a long bed one is a short bed. Both 5.4. Both had leather, console's, obviously 4wd. The long bed, had a gooseneck attachment drilled into the bed...which I didn't like at all. But I still like the first black one...it has the best options, and is priced right.

I REALLY REALLY like the blue too...but can't find one that is within a 300 mile radius with the 5.4....so I'm kinda at the mercy of what is out there....

Another thing I've noticed is that some SCREW's REALLY REALLY need a leveling kit. They have a massive rake. But then some don't need it at all.....and I've checked to see if it has one and they don't. And alot of times they are newer trucks that need them vs a 2006 .

2006 and newer they changed something on the rear suspension, i dont think it is as high. I know some guys on F150online were mentioning a 1/2" or an inch difference to level them out.

All depends on the use of the truck too. If they have never hauled heavy loads or the truck doesnt have the heavier duty tow package it wont have that rake.
