I know the doors are a pain but I can get rust free ones for not to bad of a price. I need to go back and crawl over the underside a bit more to see whats up on the frame and floor. I really want it but I dont want it to just sit
Just noticed your rust free door comment.

They have rust free rear doors? You suck even more

Maybe, depends on whats wrong with each. 2WD and 4WD frames are not the same. Body and interior parts are all interchangeable.

you can swap axles can't you? take the 4wd front and throw it under the crew. is it not that simple?

No, the 2WD's have an engine crossmember that the axle won't clear unless you get at least a 6" lift. (Basically 6" lift leaf springs)

You could cut the crossmember, but it's not advised since that is structural to the front section of the frame

Even then nothing is bolt on. The frame widths are different too. There is a lot of fabrication involved

Just like SASing a coil spring 98+ 2WD Ranger. You have to fabricate a new engine crossmember. No biggee.

Do you guys watch Powerblock TV? They took a quad cab ford just like this one except dually (which wouldnt be too difficult to do), and put a 2500 Dodge frame under it so it has the Cummins powerplant! Ultimate tow rig!!!! Ford styling and Cummins power!
There's a guy over on Pirate4x4 that did it as well except he took a 01 3500 frame and stuck under it. I was watching his build while he was doing it didn't look to be that hard at all. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=864848

End result a badass truck

That's not hard it because all you have to remake are the body mounts. Putting a flatbed on made it even easier.

Using the stock bed would have created issues since the wheelbases are different
