My boss' 10' F150 gets 17.4MPG @ 60MPH, so I'd say you're doing pretty well with a bigger, heavier truck on bigger tires.

I'll take my Powerstroke's 21MPG+ though, lol.

Ya I will only get 17mpg when runnning 85mph with a tail wind if I would drive the speed limit I would probably get alittle better mpg...

Yeah definitely, this was having the cruise set on 70 the entire way. I need a bumper sticker that says 'I go slow for mileage' haha.

Still 13mpg for me. I still haven't messed with tunes and haven't run straight highway with it since re-gearing. I don't use the average economy on the scangauge because it doesn't seem real accurate. I don't drive easy enough to think about economy anyway, and I definitely don't drive slower to try and gain mpg. lol

But with the golf we are still averaging over 40mpg overall, driving hard, lots of in town, passing etc. Cruising at 80 with hills and lots of passing it is an easy 44mpg. With the cruise on at 70 it would probably be close to 50...?
Needless to say, I haven't put a lot of miles on my truck lately, but the golf has 5k miles in just over two months.

Yeah I don't blame you, can't beat that with anything. Hoping to get a bike soon so that will cut down on the miles on the truck. These 75 dollar fillups are expensive

Yeah the cost doesn't really bother me that much, I just don't want to load the miles on the truck with 60k on it already.

But if you're thinking of getting a bike (as in motorcycle?) to save on miles or gas, that's really the wrong reason. That is only what you tell your wife/girlfriend. lol
I had a bike payment, extra insurance, suspension/tire/exhaust upgrades, riding gear, etc. Then I mostly just rode when the weather was decent or I felt like it.

Ouch ill be wishing I had the power tomorrow, pulling the 29ft enclosed to Iowa tomorrow with the F150. It will be loaded heavier than with the sleds, cause it going to have a IMCA Modified, 2 motors, tires tools ect. His cummins and trailer where totaled out last night by a drunk driver. My boss wont let me take his new F350 cause he has to pull his horses somewhere. But the F150 will get its trusty 8mpg im sure, just alittle over 720 miles one way. Where leaving at 10pm ill drive it straight through I dont trust anyone else driving it with that load.

i agree with that. a friend of mine bought a brand new bike just to save on gas and i laughed at him. with the $8,000 he spent on a bike and all the accessories he could have put a hell of alot of gas in his truck. if i lived closer to work and didnt have to take the freeway to get there i would consider a cheapo china made scooter for commuting, but lately i tend not to worry about the mileage my truck gets because either way, i need the gas. when it runs out i put it in and just drive. its alot less stressful than counting MPG's and watching the readout on my edge. I still drive conservative so i know my mileage isnt changing much. although it was cool to see 15 MPG's on the display when i was pulling my 30' TT this weekend, i may have had a nice tailwind though. i just didnt look while pulling hills...cough cough...4 MPG's cough...cough. lol

Oh no its not the only reason, not even the main reason. Just a plus, I've wanted one for a long time. I probably won't get one for a while anyway, all my money is being saved up for ring/wedding/rent right now unfortunately.

No worries, I don't mind hacks.

Started off with a Roush grille top and bottom. MBRP dual exhaust, 35% tinted windows, Weathertech floor mats with a Access Low pro tonneau cover. Then 2" Bilstein level with the 35x12.5x18 KM2s. PHP tuned Gryphon programmer (Edge Evolution with custom tunes). Front receiver, silverstars heads and fogs, factory tow mirrors. Kenwood radio. I think thats it.

Now back to stock exhaust and the exterior looks will be changing a lot this weekend but I'll wait until I have pictures to tell whats going on. Some people will hate it but its what I've wanted for a while so I'm excited.
