Thinking of getting an F-150

So before i was going towards a dodge cummins but recently i've been leaning towards a 04 to 08 supercrew 150 cause i wanna do some offroading and a cummins would be too heavy imo so what do you guys think?

F150s are nice but I wouldnt consider it an excellent off roading truck. Its more of a road/workhorse. I am sure you can make it work, its big and heavy too.

Ditto. They are awesome trucks but I wouldn't buy one to do a lot of offroading in. I love mine, its a super comfortable truck.

The dodge would be my vote if that is your only other option. My old 7.3l ford was a great truck in the mud and offroading on bigger trails and such. I'd take a F250 with a 7.3l over the dodge. One thing btw the Dodge has a solid axle which i'd take over the IFS.

Crap now you guys made it hard for me to decide haha. I mean I love cummins my dad has one but idk i really am liking the 150's atleast the newer body styles especially lifted ones and i know a cummins would be a huge money pit compared to a gas truck but im still sitting on the idea as i cant afford either one yet but im just looking for some input

Sure the cummins motor is awesome, but then you have to have the crap truck that goes with it. Get a 150 they are awesome trucks

The cummins is alot cheaper to mod than a PSD. But I will say it depends on the truck and driver. My work truck is a Dodge 3500 Cummins. Some are great. Others are just total maintenance nightmares.

looked at one today while waiting for oil change it was an 05 crew cab leather center console gear selector 4x4 but they wanted 18995 and that was on sale and it had 104,000 miles plus it had some scratches and wasnt the best condition but i thought that was a lot for that truck

You could always buy mine! Lol
I keep thinking of selling my stuff, everything sits in the driveway for 16 out of 28 days while I work. It gets hard to justify making payments and insurance when stuff sits around.

well i dont plan on getting a brand new one cause yea they are expensive but if you look at what they are it's not to bad considering they are an offroad expedition vehicle and i plan on getting into the offroad scene so an FJ would suit me just fine it's either that or a wrangler and i would much rather prefer an FJ
