Vac leak = Almost no brakes!

So, I reached into the ranger today to start it. (I always start when I get up, and let it warm up while I brush my teeth, GO ME) I didn't quite give it a good enough crank, so it kind of zonked out, you know how that is. This time though, the stall was followed by a "ppst" sound, and after starting, it idled like a POS. I knew a vac line blew off, but I figured I would just check it out when I got off work, for now, it ran ; so I wasn't going to be late.

At the first stoplight, I found out which line blew... Brake booster. I was doing about 60mph, and BARELY stopped before the car in front of me.
Lesson learned, when car idles crappy, see what vac line is loose before driving!

the plastic check valve might have pulled out of the brake booster, they are known to crack and break also.

go to your local auto parts store and they should have a replacement.
