01+ Headlight Gap Covers
01+ Headlight Gap Covers
What are they "officially called". I have a 2000 Ranger that I am slowly making into an 05+ so I need to know what they are for my new headlights. Info on how they are secured in there would help to since I will probably pull-a-part them.
If you are lost here is a good shot of tq's 06:

It is the piece in between the bumper and headlight.
Thanks.

In that pic of Crawly1025's truck, that "bar" under the headlight is attached to the grille assembly. If you are doing an 05 conversion, you will need that seperate piece, plus the grille. Not sure what it's called.
What I thought this thread was about.... https://www.ranger-forums.com/f15/ra...yebrows-88194/
For an 04+ conversion on a 98-00 or 01-03 truck, you'll need a 04+ Header Panel. The header panel is what the grille and lights attach to. Those painted parts under the headlight and above the bumper is built into the header panel....it's molded into place.
See pic below....

Don't forget you'll need a hood too for a 04+ front end.
01-03.....that piece is actually built into the grille itself....which also requires it's own specific header panel....01-03 header panel.
