i have a friend with a hood off an 02 edge, will it fit my 2000? does anyone know? I'm not too sure about cross referencing parts for my truck. I pay more attention to my mustang

 

maybe...if you looked at it. and took some measurements...then you might be able to check yourself. just a suggestion.

 

I think it fits it just hangs over the grill a tad no biggy. why dont you unblot the hood and try

 

I was asking about this beofre over on GE. No one knew the answer then either. A ford dealer told me the hinge and latch mechanism are the same but he couldn't say how it would line up on the grille. It sucks b/c my truck was wrecked and I could have had the edge hood for 5 bucks more but I didn't know how it would fit to havee it done.

I hope he does it to let us all know even tho I will be disappointed if it works b/c I really want one. I'm not really a fan of the cobra style hood on the ranger or the crappy lund things but I think the power dome hood looks great. Itz not huge but enought to look great.

I know I wish I could have put a edge on my truck with out changeing the grill and front at the swap meet I was at yesterday there was one for $55 and it was in great shape

 

haha, oddly enuf, i've been told a edge hood will fit perfectly and match the body lines of my truck

 

dude should have picked it up!!! i would kill to get one for $55! i have seen one for sell in my area and the guy wanted $200 and the corner was chipped!

I would try it, but the idiot won't let me check before. he says he doesn't want it scratched while were trying it on. he wants the money before.

it willl fit for sure, i not sure about the gap, i put a 03 front on my 99 and i used the stock hinges and latch, the only thing different was the latch mount on one side is bent, just crank it down it will follow the contour of the underside of the hood! go for it, it will work i guarntee it!
