'06 gear shift knobs
 

I cant remove the gear shift knob from my '06 manual trans. There is no screw, and no visible way to remove it. has anyone heard of a way to remove one?

do you have the standard black shifter or the Level II chrome shifter?

If the Level II shifter I can tell you how to remove it.

if you have a standard knob all you do is pull like hell and it will come off

Stock balls are spline mounted, and held to the shifter arm using glue. Some folks have actually had theirs come off while driving in the summer.

FX4 L2 balls, I understand, are screwoffable. I have no clue on those though.

I'm a big proponent for a Hurst Shifter. Of couse, i'm a little biased.

Damn, I'd hate to loose my balls while driving........LOL :biglaugh:

I had to completely destroy my original shifter knob to get it off
