07 hubs, disks and calipers on a 98 ??

here pretty soon i will be up grading my stock front suspension to blitz mid travel suspension but would 07 hubs, disk, and calipers work on my 98 minus the abs. i woud like to run the larger disk

Hubs I think not. You will probably have to convert it to a live axel setup then. The disks on your 98 are 11.8 or something like that. The 07's are a 12. IMO not really worth it to pay all that money and effort. You'll get beter braking form a quality rotor and pad. Also look into doing rear disks.

2wd Jeff...2wd.

I forsee a direct swap. The 01+ styles all have front ABS....but you aren't running it up front, so I assume it'll be a direct swap over. Bigger brakes ftw!

Although...it's not that much bigger....If I had a 2wd, I'd definately opt to do Cobra front brakes!

Blah, I didnt see anything in the sig. You know what they say about assumptions, they make an ass out of you and me.

Was I close in terms of the brake size difference?

swickwake 07-18-2009 02:09 AM

yes this is going on a 2wd. sorry for not making every thing clear.

i am getting the hubs, disks, and calipers along with the kit. this should work minus the the abs right.

hubs....do you mean 'spindle'? What the brakes bolt to. Is it a spindle kit along with coil-overs?

Rotor sizes...idk. I know 4wd's bumped up about an inch in rotor diameter from 02 to 03 discs.
