1983 4 cyl, 4 speed, 4wd how rare?

Just how rare is my 1983 Ford Ranger with 4 speed, 2.3l 4 cylinder and 4 wheel drive?
I have done some internet searching for these and found none.

How can I find out how many were made and how many still on the road?
If rare enough , I might sell it.

Welcome to the forum

1983 Rangers were only offered in Regular cab, base model was 6ft bed, 7ft bed was an option
2.0l was base model engine, 2.3l gas or 2.3l diesel(diesel was rarest), or 2.8l V6 were options
4-wheel drive was also an option

Any 1983 vehicle is itself rare, lol, like you said "how many are still on the road", Rangers were never "collectable" like other Ford models so as a small pickup truck they were used until they couldn't be used any more and then scrapped, some do restore them, labor of love not financially sound like restoring a collector car model, because they just don't sell that well.
Even a clean "Edsel" has its admirers, but would YOU pay to own one, lol.
Or think of it like the Ford Courier, Ranger model replaced these, what would YOU pay for a "rare" Ford Courier with "good options"?

Your 1983 2.3l gas with 4WD would be rare in that it has 2 options, 2.3l engine and 4WD, 4-speed manual trans was base model in 1983, 5-speed was optional.
Rangers replaced the 2WD Couriers so 4WD option probably wasn't ordered that much in 1983 models, and it was only offered later in the 1983 model year
Dual gas tanks would be rare option
Long bed(7ft) is as well, not sure I have ever seen a 4WD long bed in any year?

History write up on Rangers here: History of the Ford Ranger

Haven't seen a "How many were made" for the Ranger for 1983 model year.

If you want to sell it then put it in the "for sale" area of Ranger forums, with details and pictures, can't say what it would be worth so "best offer" might get the ball rolling on that

There are certain model pickup trucks that have a look or appeal that makes them collector cars, Rangers just never had that look or appeal to get them in that category.
They are GREAT work trucks and 4WD off roaders, but thats the re-sale market for them, and people that want a Ranger for that don't care how "rare" it may be, they want it for a specific use
