I have recently been thinking about trying to find an 83 ford ranger. I wanted to find out more about them first though so i know what i'd be getting into. I wanted to know if the 83 models used any type of computer or any emissions controls systems. I was hoping not. Also, i came across a few videos of 2.2 liter Perkins Diesel Rangers. This would be my ideal vehicle without a doubt. But i wanted to know if this is a modification, or if ford actually produced factory made diesel rangers. If anyone has any information for me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
