1998 Muffler
 
I am brand new on here and ive had my ranger for about 9 months and never have had any issues. About a month ago my muffler and exhaust pipe broke off the catalytic converter. I am currently driving it like that and im planning to order a new muffler and try to weld the muffler in-between my old exhaust pipe and the converter. I have seen another ranger with a similar set up so It makes me wonder if this is a common issue with the late 90s models. Im just wondering if anyone else has done this and what kind of suggestions for a new muffler do you guys have? I was looking at a flowmaster for like 60 bucks.

Yeah mine broke in several places... Typical for any vehicle in the rust belt of Ohio though. I ordered new y pipe, cats and muffler through summit racing (all stock) and it was the cheapest I could find. A lot of guys have flowmasters, the ones I've heard are a little loud but not as bad as no muffler at all. Just depends on what you want
