Can anyone tell me which wire that connects to the backup light is the power side. There are two wires 1-black and 1-black/pink. I need to wire my backup camera for power. You would think that the black is ground but I read somewhere that the black/pink is ground. Any help would be appreciated. How do I get a copy of my wiring diagram? I am working by myself and I don't trust the parking brake to hold the truck while I check it with a meter.

Get your self a test light. Use wheel chuck like some 2x4 wood. place the key in the on position (engine not running), put it in rev so the light come on and test.

 

If you do the test with the engine off, the e-brake really doesn't have much work to do... unless you're working on a street in San Francisco.

This is the back up camera i bought. Looks factory. hate does cheap looking ones.
