So these are 'friends'?

From Blue Oval News.com:

Ford Motor Company will announce a safety recall for 2004 model year Rangers built at the Twin Cities, MN. assembly plant due to defective frames. According to a Ford memo, the frames on both short and long wheel base regular cab models have center rail sections flanges that were not made correctly. In the memo, Ford said, "An improperly formed center rail section could potentially puncture the fuel tank, resulting in a fuel leak." The leak could result in a fire.

Ford will tell their dealers not to drive, demonstrate or deliver any Ford Ranger involved in the safety recall. The selling dealer will also be asked to contact affected owners and schedule an inspection date. Ford will also begin to notify consumers the week of 12 July 2004.

The Special Service Support Center can be reached at 1-800-325-5621.

All is good. I have to take my truck in on Monday so they can "inspect" it... I called my Ford dealer and they told me it isn't a problem on my truck after they checked the VIN.. I called another dealer AND the technical line and they both told me that my truck is effected by this and to not drive it (yah right) I hope nothing is wrong with it, but if it is messed up I will give them their truck back since I have had more then enough problems with it and go buy a fullsize something or other, most likely a Hemi Ram...
