i can not find a drum to disc conversion kit for 2004 ranger 4x4

I don't think there is one

You can swap in an explorer rear axle, but some cutting and welding is required
The 2010/11 Ranger rear axles had disc brakes, and just bolt in, the whole axle, but can be hard to find
And since you have a 4x4, either of the above also needs to match current axle ratio, i.e. 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10, unless you also change front axles ratio to match
