2007 Ford Ranger

Just got my ranger and have 2 questions. Did anyone get significant gas mileage increase after installing a tonneau cover and did installing a bug deflector create noise.

No and no. The bug sheild is just ugly and gives you something to watch vibrate on your hood.

Just what John said, the tonno doesn't do anything for mileage.

Tonneau cover is a no. Put mine back on and didn't see any change at all. No idea on the bug shield.

The bug shield (on the hood and windows) is a great accessory as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure why someone's is shaking. I'm tall and I can't even see the one on my hood while in the cab. The side ones are great for leaving your windown cracked for air circulation, without crap getting into it. The bed cover, which I have too, I can take or leave. I use the bed of my truck allot, so I leave it off most of the summer and in the winter it really gets too cold to leave it on all the time.

john... if your bug deflector is shaking then you need to tighten it down... mine never shakes and it actually works (keeps the windshield free from flying bugs) and it protects the lip of the hood from rocks, scratches, etc...

I have a LUND bug shield, no vibration or noise, looks good
As far as window deflectors, if you get them, get a set from weather tech, or another company if you can find one, where they go into the window channel with no tape, work great and look good
as far as bed cover, look good, keep stuff hidden and in bed, but not much differance on gas

my freind installed a shield in front of my 07 off road. 3m makes it. pre cut for any car truck. covers the first 6'' of the front hood and fenders. its rough texture and clear so you can see your color. kind of tranparent but protects the front from chips bugs etc!!!. better then those ugly bars.
