where are some good sites for blacked out head lights,corners, and tail lights....? This is for my truck, Im ditching the tails and lights i have now and going all black as most of you know. Just a question I was wondering about.

just go on www.ebaymotors.com and search for "96 Ranger Headlight" and it will pull up all different kinds of combos on lights....there are atleast 50 other auctions currently for the black projectors like i have with the corners to match....

 

I must be dumb. I did that just like 2hrs ago and included "black" and got nothing......Idk lol. I was thinking all black anyway. I think it would look ok?

 

can't wait to see the "blacked out mod" as you know once your all black you can't go back...lol

you cant get the all black....if there were all black, then the light wouldn't refelect out from the light...there has to be some chrome in there to refelect the light......the blackest lights you can get are the ones i have....

if you leave the black out of the search keywords, then it will pull them up....they dont have "black" in the auction keywords...

you will prolly have to wait for a set with clear lenses and black background on the corners...

i personally like the clear corners with black background but that i posted is another option...

 

I recently blacked out my front end, and although I don't have any pictures of it (good rainy-day project, since it's in the garage!) it's the best looking Ranger I've ever seen.

I got all my stuff off the internet. My Headlights, turn-signals, and tail-lights (all with black backgrounds) came from Ebay. My black billet main grill and bumper grill came from an online vendor.

I'll snap some pictures later, but I recommend Ebay for lights!

 

I was thinking about the black headlights and corners with HIDs for my truck even though its Red with polished billet. Dont know how itll look but for some reason Im in love with the black headlights. They should look sweeeet on a black truck.

 

They do look sweet, and especially with the black-billet grills. I originally had "diamond clear" headlights and corners with regular brushed billet finish grilles. Before that I had no grilles and plain clear corners (not diamond clear).

The multiple faces of my truck have been fun, and expensive. However, I like it's current look the best!

Tim how hard was it to install thoes projector headlights into your 2000. Is there any difference?

i like the headlights......i like the clear corner lense, but good luck finding those anymore....

i personally dont like those tails but it is YOUR truck...

taking them out is pretty easy actually.....there is a nut on the back of the header panel that holds in the corner lights, then they just pull out....

then there are 3 clips that you pull up on the back of the header panel that hold the headlight in....pull the clips up and them the headlight will fall out....

it should be in a repair manual if you have one...

 

i like these corners better than the ones you posted....see the difference?
