i wonder if yours, being a mazda, and mine, being the ford, and the difference between the ranger and the motor size difference would cause any differences between them... i figure i will buy this kit from amazon, which i have gotten the census that it's the same as the one you used, except for the e-brake extension, for 187, and the shifter extension, and if i don't use the extension, i can sell it on here, and if i need the e-brake extension, i'll buy one from someone who's got an extra (possibly you)

probably 2 paycheques from now i'll buy it... this one's a small check... shift rotations suck... this cheque only has 8 days on it, where as my last one had 11 :( 6 on 3 off sucks *****

Mazdas and Fords are exactly the same, minus some body lines and trim pieces. Its not the console I believe thats the issue, its a 2 or 3" extension piece that the shift bolts to so that it raises it far enough through the body so that it doesn't hit.

Thats the same console Mike had on his, it was bad enough he couldn't get the tranny out of neutral so it wasn't a simple matter of the console merely being too small. LR

i know what you are saying, but i was more meaning the interior, it's going to be a little different between the ford and the mazda... and the transmission between the 4L and the 2.3 is guaranteed to be different (if by nothing more than the bell housing...)

The shfter is still the same, whether it's 2.3L or 4.0L

The base that mounts to the transmission is the same, mazda or ranger.

Ford Lift Kits, 98 - 00 Ranger / Splash 2WD, 4WD and APPARENTLY they ship to canada, but we will see... right now it is giving me $11 shipping, but that can't be right...

that's going to be the one i use... the only difference between the 98-00 and 01+ is the e-brake extension, which most people don't use

i just have to wait till i get home from work to see what the shipping charges on that kit will be, then wait another 9 business days for my tax return, then find a shifter extention, they want 50$ for it on that site

it would be more of a pain in the *** then it would worth basiclly everything in the kit would go in the trash minus the lift spacers everything else would have to be custom made plus brake line and some elecrical would have to be lenghtend body roll would suck and you would have to make gap guard to run the whole lenght of the truck it would look like crap theres probley more that im missing but im to tired to think about it right now

Are you serious or are you just trying to get a rise out of people? Bodylifts are bad in the first place, double stacking them is asking to lose your cab while driving down the road.. Think cab shifting to one side when a bolt shifts or breaks, and it leaning at a 20* side angle and trying to control that at 65 mph. Would make for a great YT video though. LR

i thought i saw a hurst shifter in your photo, then there is redneckstones bl how-to thread, https://www.ranger-forums.com/f102/b...vaganza-83805/ just some flat stock really...

and if not, then the extension really looks like a piece of pipe with some holes. im sure you can macgyver it from there.

i'm really starting to hate online shopping, for PA 883 kit (98-00 kit) on... (and 3700 shifter extension)

bodyliftkits.net;
kit: $165.26
shifter ext $42.95
subtotal $208.21
shipping $56.24
total.... $264.45

they ship to canada, but require american credit cards, only other way, is a wire transfer (which i am not 100$ sure we do in canada) or a money order (which i assume i would need to mail to them, before they ship it)

Amazon.com
kit $143.95
shifter ext $32.01
subtotal $175.96
shipping: don't ship this item to canada because PA didn't give them licenses for it
total **** ALL!

eBay
kit $170.28
shifter ext: none...
shipping $75.88
total $246.16

i'm starting to get anoyed

Summit
kit $186.95
shifter ext $34.95
subtotal $221.90
shipping $78.95 7-21 business days, or an additional 30, for 2-5 business days...
total $312.80

Local shop 1:
kit $270 (ish, computers to give exact price were down)
shifter ext $53
shipping: none, thank god 3-4 days if in stock at warehouse 3-4 weeks if not
total(ish) $323

Local Shop 2:
kit: $230.00
shifter ext $44.00 (got discount because i had the part numbers, and he didn't have to look them up)
shipping none, 5 day to get in city
total $270.00
5% tax $13.50
g. total $273.50

so for about $5 more than the first place, i can get it in town, and not have to deal with a company that is not in the country, and money orders... only down side is i will have to pay 5% sales tax on it... oh well
