3 inch body lift question
3 inch body lift question
Going to get this 3 inch body lift from summit racing. My question is under the applications tab is says the following: 20 - Manual transmission models require part PRA-3700 shift extension (Mazda transmission only). That means I don't have to buy the shifter extension correct? or do I.. I've read in different threads I have to but why does it say on there site that it's only required for the Mazda's? Just want to be 100% sure.. Mine is a manual. Thanks for the help.
Kyle (or anyone with a bl on a manual) did you ever install that bl? Im wondering if you had to do more modifications than normal to get it to work with the manual trans, besides the extension. And does the extension effect the feel or performance of shifting?
x2 i was wondering that too.. will it affect my hurst shifter or even bolt up with it?
Not yet, doing it this spring, too cold out right now and my garage isn't heated. This thread is like 2 months old haha.
shifter arm throws are longer with the extention installed.
Here's what i did with mine to make the shifter fit me PERFECTLY. I first made a bracket. moved the ball 1" up, 1 1/8" back, and 1/4" left. I made that with the 1" bl...to get the ball perfect. Then i put the 3" bl on it. the ball interferred with the beverage in the center console...and started to get uncomfortable for me. SO...i then made a new bracket. moved the ball 2 1/2" up, 1 1/8" back, 1/4" left. It's perfect and now i have a mounted center console.

So I might need to mod my cup holders to make sure the shifter extension works properly? Would it shift all the way if I just trimmed the cup holders like you did shane?
