31" Spare with a hitch receiver?

I was just wondering if anyone was running with a 31" AT spare under the bed along with a frame mounted hitch receiver.

My 2003 Ranger had 31" BFG AT's but with my after market tubular receiver there did not appear to be clearance for anything but the 235/75/15 that was under there.

Now with the 2007 having the 31" BFG AT's as well I wanted to have a matching spare as well as a receiver.

I thought I heard once that the Ford unit allowed for this but this was several years ago.

I would appreciate any helpful feedback on this.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I have 31" spare with a receiver. The tire sits right against the receiver and just barely fits into the spare tire well but it does fit. I also have a used tire as the spare so it would not be jammed in there so tight. I also adjusted the exhuast a little to get more clearance from the tire.

I have the Hidden Hitch tubular style and a 31" spare will not fit. My stock spare actually rubs the back of the hitch now, so there is no way anything larger will fit.

my 32's won't fit under the bed of my truck due to the factory receiver and my having a dual exhaust. so, i opted for the in bed spare tire carrier.
