4.0 OHV Quarter mile?

Hey guys, theres this drag racing weekend coming up a couple hours out of town this weekend..they shut down this airport in this small town and there's quite a few cars that come out every year and race..it's like a real track in regards to the staging tree, and everything you would expect to find at a track...with not so ideal track conditions. lol.

A few of my buddies are racing this weekend and I was thinking about bringing out my truck for ****s and giggles. I've been able to find a few times for newer OHC rangers but not much for the older trucks like what I have. It seems relatively quick, It's a 92 Ext cab, 4wd, 4 liter w/5 Speed, and 3.27's on 225 70 15's. I've raced my buddys 02 Silverado with the 4.8 before and beat him by a couple lengths so I'm interested in what it might run.

Im thinking somewhere around 16.7? Anyone with the 4.0 OHV's raced at a track at all?

Ran a best of 17.6 for the whole weekend..thought it would be faster, but oh well. Reaction times were always within .550-.800, and my 60 foots were always around 2.4. I just kind of wanted to get a feel for the track, I'll hopefully be racing my honda up there next year. All in all it was a really good weekend.

in this heat, don;t be surprised if its 18's. All the ohvs I've seen at the tracks have been lifted with larger tires. They ran 18's and 19's.
