4 door Mexican Ranger caught north of the border

I saw this guy on the New Jersey Turnpike last week
He kept driving away from me (I think he thought I was with the INS)
Eventually I cast some broken Spanish at him about how nice and rare his truck was and could I take some pictures
I think the guy was actually shaking
Cripes, I was wearing a blue suit, not a brown uniform

I guess I dont see things the same way you guys do. I think its butt ugly. Might as well buy a sport trac, the bed is just a lil smaller and it actually is a nice looking suv. Way too long, not enough bed, and for the same cost you could own an f150.

my $0.02

that looks like a pretty ****ty one. Go to www.ford.uk or www.ford.com.uk whatever it is, and look up their ranger thunder. the thing packs some features fullsize trucks don't have here.

I have seen the "modded out" foreign Rangers and I just dont like them. I dunno, just cant seem to make myself like them. something about being really long and not so wide that wacks it all out. Besides, no matter how long the cab is you can still only fit two people side by side in the front and back - its a ranger!

That one has a 4x4 grille but lil tiny tires. So is it a 4x4? Are those clear corners stock? And it looks like the tails are a lil nightshaded. It does look really long but thats nothing a lil lift and some bigger tires couldn't fix. I kinda like it. I actually really like the light bars that they sell for them. They are similar to the Dakota light bars that mount on the bed rails. I really like those and would love to have one for my truck.

wait a minute, that's a RANGER?!?!?!? Wow...

I'm looking at the pictures going, "ok, and what's so special about this truck...???" Then it dawns on me, that's NOT NORMAL!!!!!!!! Amazing, really, that that particular model didn't make it to high volume production, b/c it would be incredibly cool to have...

as for trucks, you just don't see that many of them over seas, but when you do, they are rangers like that, I just wish they used a 6' bed insted of making them shorter. but hell I like them long, I want a crew cab long bed

my fave!

Variants of the Ranger crew cab have been sold in most markets around the world for many years. It didn't make it to production for the USA and Canada because we have the Sport Trac. Ford didn't want to sell a crew cab Ranger here because it would eat into the sales of the more expensive Sport Trac. That plan backfired because, in the meantime, several other manufacturers brought out true pickup crew cabs here. Ford gave away the compact/midsize crew cab market to Chevy, Nissan, Chrysler, Toyota, etc.
