bought a new lift kit

this guys has been advertising a lift kit on craigslist for a few months now for $250, he said it was a 6in skyjacker lift. well i mad a deal with him for $200 so this morning i drove 60 miles out there to pick it up and i noticed that the rear blocks looked a little small but i didnt care becasue i would rather have a 4in lift anyway becasue all i want is 33s. but i was wondering if anyone knows how long a 6in lft coil is so i can find out if its a 6 or 4in lift, mine are 18.5 in. also he said some of the hardware is missing so does anyone know were i can find a checklist so i can findout what i need. its a 97 4x4 btw

If I remember correctly you go on the Skyjacker website and there is a download section for instructions that have will also have a list of what comes in the kits. As for whether you have a 4 or 6" lift I can't help you there I have no idea!

You could always contact Skyjacker and ask them for spring dimensions.

actually i found out that it was a 4 in lift right after i posted this because the offset of the bolt holes on the brackets were 4in. i plan on puttin it on in a few days and i was wondering what it would look like to have a 4in lift and 31s, i wanna get 33s but my tires are practically new and i dont wanna waste them

It would look slightly better than that.

In all honesty It wouldn't look to bad. I'd go ahead and install it.
