Thanks, I love seeing Rangers with high mileage with the hopes I can get get there myself someday. I'm only averaging 4,100 miles per year, so I should be good for many more years to come. Mine will be paid off this coming April, so I'd like to get at least 5 more years of payment free ownership. That would be awesome, anything over that would be even more awesome !!

A friend of mine had about 165,000 miles on his '99 Ranger, but then he traded it in with with broken rear spring mounts. He said the Ranger didn't owe him anything as he got many, many miles out of it, and it had been very dependable for him for many years.
He's driving a Ford Focus now.

I bought it 4.5 years ago, and it only had 31,500 miles on it when I got it. So I've put about 18,500 on it since I bought it. I'm not trying to keep the miles low intentionally, I drive wherever I need to go, but most places are right around the corner from me. So I put on a lot of short trips. The truck has been super dependable for me. Always starts and always gets me home.

It amazes me how many miles some people have put on their Rangers...I've heard reports of 200,000-300,000 miles on them.
I have to admit my Ranger looks really good for being 9 years old. Years ago the life span of any vehicle was only 100,000 miles or ten years, after that they were almost always rusted out and ready for the junk yard. I can see my Ranger lasting another ten years easy.
