5th wheel hitch pictures

I think its cool that you tow a 5th wheel with the Ranger. I keep begging my friend to let me tow his Baja boat and its HUGE. He says I wouldn't be able to tow it but I know I could once I'm properly geared. I've towed a 6x12 fully loaded landscaping trailer with grass in my bed once and it pulled it easily with 3/4" sag in the back and that was with 33s and 3.73s. Does your truck sag alot when you have the 5th wheel hooked up?

If it is within weight ratings and the trailer has brakes, who cares?
It is a lot safer than a bumper pull with a bunch of hitch weight, for sure. Wind drag is more of a b!tch pulling with an RBV than the actual weight is. There is an 01-05 Sport Trac in town with a fifth wheel hitch that tows a small car hauler! lol. Although he is definitely over-weight.

Yes. The truck weighs roughly 4300 pounds by itself, varies with what crap I have along.
You people are ****ing retarded. You know nothing about towing, you don't know anything about campers, or the very truck you drive. Shut the **** up. Facepalm yourself, *******s.
There's minimal sag. The trailer was designed for downsized trucks like the Ranger and Dakota, so the pin weight is very reasonable.
Thank you, someone who actually knows. I'm well with the weight limits. There is no sway, handles very well. Rides really well.

Please do the truck a favor and take the mirrors off, figure a way to downsize them or go back to stock and like said above get the clip ons. I like how the mirrors look so i'd rry to down size them, maybe if they're power swap the Power mirror motor over and all that. Is the blinker wired in or is that for show??

This camper was designed for Ford Rangers and Dodge Dakotas. Hell, that's what the cover of the owner's manuals has pulling it.

Pin weight is 700 pounds. That would put the truck at 5000 pounds. GVWR is rated for 5260. I would have to look at old weight slips, but I believe empty I was at 1800 pounds rear axle weight, maybe less. That puts me at 2500 pounds on the rear axle, which is rated for 2600 pounds.

i'm with others about the mirrors. go get yourself a set of 08s they are fairly large. on top of that, get some towing extentions and some small stick on convex ones. it would look 100x better.
this thread has opened my eyes to towing, i was never too sure about all the GVWR acronims and what they ment. i was in the dark thinking that we could tow 5K and that was it. less with the manual.
since this is a thread about towing, could someone break down all those acronims?

That's not entirely correct. Most people don't know how to haul with a manual therefor, they end up doing more harm then they do good.
