I own a 94 ranger 4.0 engine 4 X 4, the electronic shift is not working on it, pretty sure it is the module behind the seat is bad. But I just picked up a 91 4 X 4 explorer 4.0 engine with warped heads for parts for my truck, I was wondering as I part out the explorer what parts would interchange with my Ranger? I kinda hate to haul off the explorer to the scrap yard leaving something on it that I would need later.

 

it may interchange im not for sure on that one i thank the plugs are something is different about it.. you could always get it and try it in the ranger

 

So far most of the engine parts are the same. The transfercase looks the same, but have not got it off yet.
