Heating Problems and 4x4

About 2 weeks ago my 98 rangers temp gauge would read normal and i would get cool air from the vents. When i would switch the temp control to cold it would get colder them back to cool when switched to hot. After a couple times of this my temp would fall then go up to normal and i would get hot air. I replaced the thermostat and i am still having the problem.

My 4x4 drive when i switch to engage will click twice then both lights will blink 3 times. Anyone have any ideas.

could it be a vac leak? i read some where about the vac on hub leaking causing a vac leak affect their heater or vents or something. my bearing hub assymbly is pulse vac and its been needing replaced and now i blew it out on a long trip south. im hoping replacing it will fix my vac leak to get my heater and vents to operate correctly. im doing it in next cpl days so ill let u know if its the prob

sorry to jack ur thread its just i was having same problem and my bearing was going out and certain 4x4 are pvh and cant find the vac leak. maybe the light has something to do with being fudged from hub vac leak. i could be wrong tho about everything lol

just my 2 cents
