Ac stuff
Ac stuff
So I’m working on getting ac in my 2001 ranger, when I got it it had all of the parts except a compressor so I bought a compressor and hooked everything up. I tried to charge the ac but found when I put it under vacuum there’s a decent size leak but I haven’t had time to find where it is. Is it possible to use a vacuum pump to get the uv dye into the system? I also found out that when I turn the fans on, no air comes out. I’ve heard that it could be the blend door not working, any tips on how to fix that?

You have no idea why this trucks ac system failed. If the compressor failed, which is why there's not one it probably sent metal into your condenser and if that happened its throughout the whole system as well.
If you want good AC you need to do it right. That means new condenser, accumalator, evaporator, compressor, suction and discharge lines, orifice tube or expansion valve.
