So driving alone the 91 this morning on the way to work, I got into a fender bender. Traffic came to a total stop like it seems to love to do in this part of town and I hit the truck in front of me. My fault, I'm gonna have to eat it and its just a matter of if i'm gonna self pay it or if ill let the insurance deal with it. Im guessing about $3K in work. Its not that bad.

Ill need a new hood, headlight panel, grille, bumper assembly, front lamps and trans cooler. The fenders were untouched and the cowl panel needs to be painted. The airbags didnt go off, we werent moving that fast.

What did i hit? A GMC work truck. With a liftgate on the back. I bent the bracket that was holding his trailer pigtail. Other than that he is totally undamaged.

Haha got you beat. I backed into a stopped box truck. Yep backed into, trashing my tailgate and busting both taillights.

I backed into my own truck the other day at work with a 3500.. I didnt realize the lady had a 1.5 foot hitch sticking out of the rear so i bent my bumper.

Sure did. Oddly enough, i just got my title a little less than a month ago. I paid it off recently. With my 04, I had also just paid if off and received my title within a month of it being totalled by a drunk.

Today's lesson - Never pay off your truck lol



Dunno yet. Im gonna wait for the guys at the shop (buddies of mine) to pull it off. The surround is trashed, trust me. The center MIGHT still be good but ill have to see when they take it off.

That sucks man. If Rich doesn't take the center part of the grille, let me know what you want for it. I could probably figure out a way to make it work with broken tabs.

Hoods a goner. Its not the best pic but you can see its bent severly in the middle. If it was just that little dent at the front it could be done, but labor to frepair vs replacement costs makes it easier just to spend the $400 or so for a new hood.

 

thats sucks man...last night i went down the side of my bed with a friggen sign...so pissed...i guess it gives me a good reason for fiberglass bedsides
