Add another one to front hub woes
Went out this morning to run a few errands and heard a metallic grinding noise coming from the drivers side front wheel. Stop and got out and looked under the truck found nothing wrong, so I go to take off and heard 3 loud pops and more grinding, limped it back to my house and jacked it up.
Well the wheel has about 2" of play in it when you rock it up and down and side to side. I guess it's a hub, but I'm hoping it's just a wheel bearing but have a bad feeling it's the hub.
If it's the hub should I have both sides done at once, or just the drivers side? Anyone know how much hubs cost and how long does it take to replace them?
I guess I'll be sporting a rental car for about a week or 2 depending how long it takes to get the parts to fix it.
