no I ordered a 03 header panel and it is identical to my 98. I looked around and I see that you have to know what it looks like before you get it because quite a few places say that they are 03 when in fact they are 98. So I have to order another one, this one was cheap so I'll just hold onto it. I'll grab those clips too thanks

weird, I've never had that issue on any of the swaps i've done

The one on my truck was all oem parts but the others i've done for other people have been ebay aftermarket parts.

yeah, I googled the header panel and carparts.com came up first with one for 16 bucks. I should have looked around a bit more and probably would have found the discrepancy . Anyway I'll get the one I need now, thanks again for all the input.

03 front end swap

Hey I finally go the front end straightened out. I was able to use the 98 grill, just had to modify the old turn signals to fill in the space. I posted some pics. Did you change something to get the fogs to come on with markers? My 03 did that but this 98 does not. I was wondering if it was in the wiring or a relay.

Nah i didn't change any of the wiring. I just had the fog switch on when the markers were on.

I'm not aware of any changes between the 98 and 99, but if there is a change, and they only come on with your headlights, it's an easy wiring fix, you'll just need the wiring diagram. There will be a wire to the fog light relay that comes from the headlight circuit. Just cut that wire and splice it into the marker light circuit. It may be in the dash right at the switch, but I'm not sure.
