top of front tires lean in (ford syndrome)

hi i was looking at my truck the other day and i noticed my front tires lean in really bad, i was wondering why its that way. but i dont know if its because the people before cut the coil springs with a saw to lower the front end or what, but im going to put new coils in soon, do you think that will fix it? and i know it needs new shocks really bad so il replace the shocks and coils sometime soon. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

It's called Camber sounds like you are running negitive. Get an alignment to have your camber set 1/2 neg to 1/2 pos is what you want.

wheels should be straight. only when turning is when you'll get camber going in the direction of turn. camber and toe in can be adjusted good luck

worn out coils do indeed cause camber issues

Your describing Caster, Caster is the angle of the spindle arm, "0" being straight up no angle. camber is the angle of the spindle .Negative is when the top of the tire is closer to center line of the vehicle than the bottom of the tire. Positive is the opposite top furthest than the bottom.
Caster is the angle of the spindle arm front to back, positive caster is when the top balljoint is closer to the front than the lower. Negative is top furthest from front than the bottom. Most every vehicle has some positive caster this lets the roll of the tires edge from the force of turning, pulling the tread patch back on the road surface for better grip and corning.
Camber is an easy way to get lots of positive caster for hard corning when your Caster is limited, the more positive caster you can get at full lock is the best setup for corning, adjusting camber to increase this is why you see race cars with the top of the tire leaning in,

The earlier 1983-1997 TIB/TTB Rangers adjust camber using offset bushings and the range of adjustment is small. Any truck from these years that has been lowered from stock without correction will go toward negative camber; lifted trucks go positive. To fix a significantly lowered/lifted truck might require more correction than factory offset bushings will allow and there are aftermarket parts designed for these issues. If there is no desire to be lowered or lifted, stock replacement coils and any other needed steering/suspension parts along with a fresh alignment will bring the truck back into spec.

It should. Be sure to check for any other worn parts and replace as necessary before getting an alignment.
