Alignments and torsion bars
 

So I have had my 2011 4.0 V6 with 180k red ranger for going in 4 years now and just about every year I get an alignment because it’s bad and every year they say u need new camber bolts. But the other day as I was watching g a few videos to get ready to do my front suspension i noticed these videos mention the torsion bars pretty frequently in regards to the alignment.

is this true and what is the best approach to fixing this issues

As the truck ages, the torsion bars will slowly sag. They have adjustment bolts that will allow you to "tighten" them over the vehicle's lifetime (10-15 years for Ford) to correct for the sag. This is mainly to keep ride-height in check as most competent alignment shops should know what to do with these.

Replacing the adjustable camber bolts is likely due to the washers wallowing out and making it hard to set them at the proper spec. Mine have been on my truck for over 5 years but they just keep putting up with them. I noticed they are pretty wallowed out, so I will include a new box for both sides the next time I align mine.

Change in ride height due to T-bar sag or adjustment can also change the camber. Any time I adjust ride height it goes to an alignment shop for at least a check. Both of my Rangers needed new camber adjustment cam kits when they got older. I consider it normal wear maintenance.
