Driving home from work tonight minding my own business I see headlights coming up at a pretty good click. I look over at what it is and for a minute I thought it was Zach(Redneckstone) because it was a silver ranger and all I saw was the front of it. Well it wasnt but this guy was staring at the truck and I just continued to mind my own business. I get off the highway and he gets off behind me, this was after he came up beside me a couple more times. Well at the stop light I get a thumbs up.

This may be kinda corny to some people but it was kinda cool that someone gave me a thumbs up on my truck, all the work and money has paid off in my eyes. As long as I like it and others do as well then that makes me happy.

Anybody else ever had people do this?

 

Pretty cool huh.. I'v got it a couple times, its usually other guys with desert trucks.. heading up to a friends house this weekend a guy pulled next to me on the 210 and gave me a thumbs up, a couple weeks ago I got it on the 405.. I used to get it alot when I was driving my mustang...

 

yeah ive had it happen a few times and ts very encouraging...

 

hehe, yeah it always feels good to get the "hey, awesome truck" or the thumbs up.

 

thats something to be proud of, i haven't had that happen to me, but some customers from work said i have a nice truck, thats it

 

Yea it was pretty cool, its not the first time its happened just thought about it and posted.

 

One of the guys that I work with just bought a new Ram with the Hemi and is throwing 35s on it, he said that it was one of the best looking rangers that he has saw.

 

He has seen.






I get it from older people all the time. Good feeling. I usually get the "you wanna run" look. And the few "i want your car" , ive even had a dude tell me my car was his dream car, that was cool, cause its mine too.

 

that's why I like my other Ranger.

 

yeh some kid in a 04 xlt pulled up to me at a light n hes like is that 2 or 4wd i go 2 hes like is it lifted i go no its an edge. he was like damn i shoulda got one of those your truck looks awesome. It made me proud.

 

yea i get looks alot.. not many people around me with rangers with stuff done to em, lots of rangers dont get me wrong(there made here .., just all stock. and yea ive had lots of the thumbs up and staring as i drive by.. oh and one day i was a pepboys i walked out and a old guy was lookn at my truck and i noticed he got out of a stock fx4.. and he was like" sharp truck..looks really nice, i like em lifted"..

so yea its kinda cool and refreshing to get some props :)

 

yea buddy of mines z28 has a biuld and tuned 383 with a a monstrous super charger and a huge cam...always get looks and waves and thumbs up at stop lights or when hes on it

 

i get it all the time... i was on the way home from a haircut one day... washed and detailed the truck the day before... and this big black guy in an escalade with chrome rims pulls up next to me, rolls down his window and says..."HEY!!! nice lookin truck you got there buddy! looks realllll good..."

i had the biggest smile and i said thanks

 

i get alot of rednecks commenting on me in the camo truck...

sure it isn't really "my truck"... it's my dad's but i did all of the work on it, so i am proud when they ask "who did all that camo" and i reply "i did it, over a couple of weeks"

and they are like "dang boy, that's awesome..." then they start asking me too many hunting questions...

i get some people like "you drive a camo truck. let me shake your hand..." dumb stuff like that.

also, stupid people "dude, i can't see you!!!!" "it's a forest on wheels!!!"

the ranger, i get the occasional wave from another ranger person. some harley people wave when i have the skull on the front.

lots of jeep guys wave.

when i am in the f150, all sorts of people yell things like "hell yeah" or "that's what i'm talking about"

haha...

i like it all.

gil called me an attention *****.

i won't deny that i like a little attention here and there. at least it's mostly all compliments on what is my work or ideas, and i am proud to receive em.

 

Whenever I went to eat somewhere, I always parked my truck where I could see it while I was eating (**** retentive? maybe a little ). You would not BELIEVE the number of girls who would walk by, stop, take a step back or two, look it over, then give that sort of "Hell yes" nod of approval, and keep going . And the first day I had the lift on it, 2 different Jeeps stopped next to me while I was gassing up and complimented me on her. Another guy saw me about 4 blocks from my house and followed me all the way home to ask me about it so he could get one!

 

I park where i can see my truck when i eat, unless its a sit-down restaurant and i can't really control it.

All the jeep guys around me don't really give me thumbs up, I mean I am peeing on them on the tailgate.

 

well your truck is substantially better suited to off-roading than mine was haha

 

Ppl complimented me on the 31s....girls liked the painted interior.

I love the looks i get for the FX2 on the side. Its awsome when a guy pulls up beside me in his FX4(which btw is so very rare in so cal) and goes nice truck, never seen a FX2 before, but looks nice! haha i love that! Plus even better is tricking the guys at the Ford dealer, hah they all think its some special by order only package

 

gotta love the looks and thumbs up. i usually get thumbs up from other lifted guys (rangers) and looks from guys who have tacomas or some other brand truck. sean, too bad you don't live in anaheim anymore, you could be kickin it with me and greg.

I used to get three or four coments when ever I would drive my 97 Ranger, but all you see in Michigan is Chevy's lifted on 39's everywhere it seams, so I guess a truck that was draggin frame and shaved to hell on some big rims was a little different sight, that and everyone always loved the plate NEVR2LO lol

My blue 94 STX had coments too, a few here or there from people, that and they always laughed when I had to help my EX girlfriend in and out because she was short lol
