Is my truck secretly 4wd??

I was in my truck earlier today and on those little black things by the steering wheel that light up it says 4x4 in it and i never noticed it before and it never lite up. So do all rangers have this even if its not 4wd?

Yeah, they all have it. It's just a uhhh..."generic" dash, cuts down on production cost.

The cluster mask on the 2WD Ranger is the same as the one on the 4X4. They all have that cutout and the bulb position but it is not used on the 4x2.

If I understand correctly, it didn't light up. He just noticed the "4x4" for the first time.

Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

What it actually is is that the truck hasn't seen the inside of a Ford garage in 3-5k miles. It's lonely and wants a trip back for some attention. My truck is just having separation anxiety, that's it..

Sometimes, when I turn my head just right, and squint my eyes just so, my 4x4 light appears to illuminate...

...but then I'm not watching where I'm going and get stuck and I realize it was all just a dream -- and you were there, and you, and you...oh, Auntie Em!

Ten dollars John's next mod will be the "relayed Auxilary 4LO light on". He turns the fake 4WD *** on that he carved out of jealousy and it activates a little led that turns on behind the 4WD signal, making him imagine he has it. Underneath his truck will be a cardboard cutout of a transfer case.

Its on page * 371 of your mods page, hidden beneath the "indash arc welder/Ham radio" mod and the "lots of lights = lotsa ladies" mod.

my family used to have an 89' Bronco II 4X2 and i went under one time to see a TRANSFER CASE!!! basically on the 2wd version for left an empty transfer case so they didn't have to have two diffrent drive shaft lengths, at least that is what i figure

Yeah, I read about that someplace. The 2WD BII's had 'dummy' BW1359 transfer cases.

Hey, whatever works, right?

Leo, John did steal your work by not putting you in the credits. I think we may have a case. I will be your lawyer if you need. I'm not an actual lawyer, but I did stay at a holidae inn last week.
