going faster....?

i have a 1987 ranger with a 2bbl carbed 302 and a 8.8 l/s with 3.73

well i am thinking of dragging it next sunday...just to see what she could do

i gave a set of 205s and 235s laying around....both junk tires....and i can get a set of 185s.....what would be the best tire for my set up

235s, more tire touching the ground = more traction on tarmak...

ok cool....now do you think it would go good if i had 205s in the back and 32s in the front with my hubs unlocked?

why would ya want bigger tires in the front? I'd assume small tires in the front and big tires in teh back.

becouse i only have 3 235s.....and the tires are not road legal...are kind of bold.....just switch every thng at the track......

just throw the 235s on back with the 205s in front... and i dont think your gunna get pulled over for having bald tires...

yea, definitly want the 205s in front and the 235s in the back, with the 3.73s you dont want to rev that 302 out too soon with too small of a tire. if you had a matching set of 4 of the 235s or even 4 205s you may want to try running them in 4-HI to get the most traction possible hehehe

well i do have a set of 205s...good on the track...no but on the road..maby....but locked front and back...wont that screw something up on the tar mat?

as long as the tires are the same diameter and you are going straight you can have locked front and back in 4wd, just be sure to pull it back into 2wd before trying to turn.
