I made the last payment today !!

Hooray !! Now it's paid off. It's still in very nice condition and only has 51,000 miles on it. It should last me another 10 years !!

Ten years with no car payments !! Woohoo !!

I didn't think I'd get the loan in the first place, but the dealer got it arraigned in about 20 minutes which shocked me, as my credit was shaky. It was a very nice truck and I didn't think I could afford it, but they worked it out so I could. At one point I owed about $10,000 but now it's all paid off which is a huge relief for me. This has done wonders for my credit rating.

When I bought mine, I had just gone thru 5 years of pure hell with medical problems. I had fallen behind on many bills but had managed to pay them off. Luckily at the time I had a small mortgage and no credit cards. I had paid them all off a couple years before. There was no way I thought I'd get a loan for $10,000, but I was approved in no time. I had a decent down payment and was able to pay the sales tax upfront. So they approved it. I was looking for an older Ranger at a much lower price, but this one looked so good, I decided to go for it. Everything else looked like junk in comparison. I've kept it in nice shape and it looks great for a nine year old truck.

If you pay the bill, near its 'due date'. The next bill shows up within 2.5 weeks. While it may not be 'due' every 2.5 weeks, it shows up every 2.5 weeks

Online bill pay is awesome... However when hit with a natural disaster, and ntohing works? Doesnt beat the post office.

With that said, having to make a payment for 5, 6 years on a vehicle, seems to me like said vehicle costs too much, esp when its an every day driver.
