ranger tanks are 19 i think

you are mistaken. the ranger gets similar mileage as an f-150.
there is a difference. our mileage could be better but it's comparable to a full size rig's.

depends on the wheel base. there are 3-4 different size tanks. ie) mine is 16 gallons

There are better compact trucks out there for the money. Price out a comparable frontier.

i just priced out a frontier and for a pro4x its 10k more than the msrp of a sport 4x4 and has no rebates...

where I live a double cab TRD tacoma and a pro4x frontier are the same price, clearly the reason I see no frontiers on the road

Brand new Pro-4x 4x4 Frontiers here for the same or less than a Ranger Sport 4x4. And that's a crew cab (which I don't want) w/ the Rockford Fosgate sound system, steering wheel audio controls, temp/compass mirror, bed extender, etc. TRD Tacoma's come @ a higher price around these parts.

Exactly. How does a small work van compete with the Tacoma, Frontier, Dakota, and Colorado. I hope after 2011-2012 the Taco and Colorado sales skyrocket and Transits stay the same so that Ford gets the message.

Toyota Tacoma 4.0L V6 (236 hp) (Optional TRD Supercharger kit that boosts to 305hp, with warranty)

Chevy Colorado 2007+ 3.7L I5 (242 hp) (300hp V8 option as of 2010)

Dodge Dakota 2008+ 3.7L V6 (210 hp) (Optional 4.7 liter V8 with 302 hp) (To be replaced by Ram Rampage)

Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6 (265 hp)

Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 (210 hp)

265, 242, 236 and 210 and most have optional power upgrades. We do not.

New 5-11-06

Hi , I bought my red Super cab Ranger 4x4 loaded for $ 27,685.00 Sticker price in Breman ,Ga. I added a polished S.S. grill guard for strength & to protect the front grill & frame horns & for looks . If you get a small tap on either side of the front it will bend the frame an will be totalled . I've seen the new cheaper Rangers I'm glad I bought a 2006 . I have the B.F.T. package with the Thorsen gear driven posi rear end . I got everything but leather . When I ride by the new Ranger 4x4's I look down on them as they are much lower with chrome steel wheels & smaller tires . Mine is still new with 22,000 miles an always garaged . my Thoughts Bud

Riiiiiiiiight

Not sure what a BFT package is. It's a Torsen, not a Thorsen. If you have a Torsen that means you have an FX4 Level II. Is that what you mean by BFT? But yes the height difference between the pre-08s and the 08+ is a deal breaker in my book. Not that it is that hard to fix with a simple block and key swap but still a pain in the ****.

I think the only part tthat is lower is the back. I think they took out the blocks and it levels it out.It deffinitly sticks better to the road especially going over bumps. You do not get that wierd hop as much, more control. You guys are making way to much of an issue with less than a inch in the rear lower. I think it makes more of a muscular street truck look.

It is in fact lower front and rear, the 08+ trucks use a 1.5in block and a lower re-indexed torsion bar key. as opposed to the 2.5in block and standard keys on the older trucks.

see this thread for more info;

old key left new key right, clocked a few degrees but enough to drop the front end.
