Anything to look out for buying a Ranger?

I'm looking at a 4cyl manual 1997 Ranger with 153k miles. Anything to be wary of?

Rusty rear leaf spring hangers, does the heat and A/C work (Does the Blend door going from Heat to A/C work), How well was it maintained. Oil, Timing Belt, Tune ups(plugs and wires) Were Ford parts used?
