its more then enough for me. you should have got a fleet side.

i really hope they dont make it too much wider or bigger. it will ruin the compact truck.

x2....

I think if they make the truck maybe 2 inchs wider it would be plenty. The bed really doesn't need to be longer, its already 6 feet....

that's my problem.... i'm like a kid that outgrew his bunkbeds... i love it, and don't want to get rid of it... but i honestly need something bigger because this bed does nothing for me anymore. keeping it at 6 foot would be fine... i just need something wider with at least 48" between the wheel wells... and i think that takes me out of the compact truck level and pushes me up to needing an F150

My guess is the next redesign will be a midsized truck called the F 100 adding more sales to the F series. It seems the small truck is dead...

on another note I understand on the '08 order guide they have added grabber orange as a color option and the Level II Fx4 is no more.

i need a longer bed, by 6 inches would be just fine...so im hoping to upgrade to an f series this year (looking less likely everday though) since the 7 ft. bed rangers look awkward and only regular cab...

the ranger is the only compact ranger left on the market everything else is midsize it seems...

Woohoo! I parked next to a new Dakota yesterday and was amazed how small the Ranger was in comparison. Time for a Ranger Revival indeed

i was going to start to look around for an F150 this spring, but had to hold off. i'll be waiting till next spring before i start looking again because it seems that 4x4's are at their lowest prices during the spring time around here. it's probably because winter is done and noone is too concerned about needing 4x4 to get thru the winters anymore once spring hits. therefore, ill be waiting till next spring to look again (unless a deal falls into my lap)

The only thing I'd change about my 06FX4 is that I'd rather it have a inline 4cyl turbo deisel. A 2.3 to a 2.5L would be perfect. With a turbo and a bullit proof iron block/head it would weigh the same as my 4.0L, have just as much power, and get a good 30% better milage.

For sure!

I would like to see something like the F150 or Explorer front end on them tho, maybe a few inchs wider and a new name (F100 as mentioned above)

You do know that diesels aren't as good for wheelin in the mud and deep water, right? They don't really like the shock of the cold water since they run so hot.... (just FYI cuz I know your a big mud guy)

bah that is being conservative, wheel it hard or go home. diesel would be fine, and it wont weigh that much more then the 4.0 i bet.

plus why do you think they offer a snorkel in the overseas ranger.

125 at idle and 150-175 normally, the fan kicks on at 200. That's under full load going up a steep grade(rare).

It's nice to know that Ford is actually doing something for a change... haha. Seems like we just get nicer "soccer-mom-mobiles" every year. That 3.5L Duratec would be nice, too.

Wow are you off... There is a reason diesels cover the radiator in the winter and a Cummins 4bt will run 180 allllll day. Also as long as your intake is free from water a diesel will run in water all day as well...

So FX4 features will include the Level 2 seats, optional Torsen rear differential, and chrome shifter handle on the manual tramission equipped trucks. The Alcoa wheels and the stainless steel front tow hooks are history. However, the towing package, 3 skid plates, step bars, and heavy duty shocks (Ranchos) are now standard. The Grabber Orange will be available for the for 6 months then back to silver.
