I dunno how good it works, but they make a vinyl and fabric paint as well, might look into that!

IMO without clear coat looks more stock, but its not as durable.

But as long as you use quality paint and take your time with prep it will turn out great.
alright thanks trent....Um if everything works out, i hope i can have this done before the meet next weekend...About how long does it take to paint and install.?? and do i need anything to install all of that (besides the paint)

You can have all the painting done in a night. Thats what I do, paint it at night and then it will be fully cured by the morning. For paint I would get 1 can of adhesion promoter, 2 cans of paint and 1 can of clear. For the console make sure to grab the mounting bolts and you can just use those to mount it in your truck. You'll need a drill to make the holes for the center bracket to bolt into and thats it for the console. If you have 60/40 seats you'll need a sawzall to cut those down and then some stuff to make the material look good afterwards. For the OHC you'll just need wire if you get the mounting screws.

My seats have to be 50/50...i have an XLT if that means anything....I have 2 buckets, and a console......So you used the vinyl paint on all the plastics right?? NOT the visors? ALSO will the console work in a single cab?? think it will just making sure

Yeah the console will work in single cabs and I didn't paint my visors. I didn't sand anything and it came out fine. Mine didn't need it.

With adhesion promoter you don't really need to sand. I mean you can if you want to. Tre told me to do 600 grit then wet sand with 1000 grit and you'll be good to go.

I didn't sand my console either... Just simple green'd it then rubbing alcohol to make the adhesion promoter stick to it the best...

I only recommended that on the center console pieces that were rubberized and the radio bezel... I wouldn't do it to the center console.. it'll take the hammered look away

Yeah I wouldn't sand at all either thinking about it now. It would ruin the stock look. I just use some acetone and the a microfiber towel to get it all clean and then the steps I posted earlier.

No just sand the inserts at the front of the console, thats if they even need it. The armrest should be covered in fabric. If its messed up its super easy to recover I just redid mine yesterday.

Glad i could help. lol.

I'll bust out a nice how with pics on rolling the odo....or just swapping odo's over to the new cluster.

$200 is a good deal.

Yard around here w/o hook up is like 100 for center console, 50 for ohc, 20 for visors, and i don't know what a gauge cluster would run.....$50?

MAN when i got to the yard i was like DAAAANNNNGG..this is heaven,,,there was TONS of stuff....anyways heres what happened..

good/bad news....I found an 03 console, but realized shortly after it owuldnt work..All the console i found were crap...

I did get an 01 cluster from a sport track with 87,xxx on it....mine has 86,xxx
some i've already cleaned it up and plugged it in. Im gonna leave it with the mileage it has, then later upgrade to the blue leds...

I also found A LOT of OHC in good conditon..I got a black one, and some grey deluxe explorer visors, put them in too

Now this weekend im gonna put the OHC it.....

The guy told me $200 right..WRONG, when i brought my stuff I took out, the total was $215 or so...I was like WHAT, i didnt even get the center console i wanted, and he said oohh i thought u just wanted the OHC with the other stuff...he was like well this $175 for all this, so i said ok....and paid $175 +tax....I feel i may have gotten jipped a little.......All my stuff is in Xcellent cond...anyways...off to do the OHC

Man, always know you can barter with those guys! Trust me, they have a lower price they can sell them at... It says on their screen lol...

If you ever need something to say, just bring up all your stuff and if he tells you a price you don't like.. Ask him if he can go any lower... Then say I'll do it if you do this price (lower than the low offer he gave you)... If he won't match it leave the stuff up there and tell him you'll get it at another yard that is a lot cheaper, thanks though lol... Works everytime... They want your business because the longer they hold onto things, the less they can get for them
