Wow, that really sucks man. I just got into a minor fender bender about an hour ago, and all I need is a new bumper and some other things. I couldn't even tell that was an RX7 at all, until you mentioned it.

Even though the Mazda was coming at him, it still has give (evidenced by the photo of the mangled RX-7) where a brick wall would not.

It's more like hitting a parked Mazda RX-7 at 100 mph instead of a brick wall.

Plus, as we can tell, in this case it's much better to be in the Ranger because of the weight. The forces of deceleration are going to be less in the Ranger because the RX7 only has a curb weight of about 2300-2500 lbs, compared to Ben's Ranger, which probably comes in around 3800 with his toys on it.

So... the total energy is the same as the 100 mph/brick wall example, except that those forces are distributed amongst two cars, instead of just one in the brick wall example (assuming the wall sustains no damage and doesn't crumble). So, if both cars are exactly the same mass, the damage to Ben's truck would be half of the damage of hitting a wall at 100 mph. In this case, the vehicles aren't anywhere near the same, so Ben took quite a bit less than half of the impact force.

Not that it feels that way to him, I'm sure
Ahhhh. .. .. yeah. . . . that's what i meant.

WOW!!! Glad to hear you're alright from that.

Good thing you were driving a truck for that one.........that could have been ugly if you were in a car. Looks like he went under your front end.

You will be happy with the 150, though your not guaranteed an f150 just any truck... we dont hold special make or models for customers.

Sounds like a plan just call them early and ask what time the rental is due to be dropped and what time would they want you there to swap units and do the paperwork on your pink slip.

We try to put our customers in similar to what they drive or did drive so that they are comfortable with their rental. And if you notice there are enterprises everywhere around dealerships and what not and usually what brands on their lots reflect what brand local lots have, so if your close to a chevy and dodge and toyota dealership you will seem more of their models vs say a nissans and fords and what not.

Just hope you took the extra insurance we sell, in case something does happen to the vehicle you dont have to make another claim on your insurance to fix our vehicle...
