found out my truck is flex fuel

So my dad ran to the dealership today since my truck was out of commission from the fuel leak.

he went to the mazda dealership since his car is a mazda and my truck is a mazda-ford. so they ask for the last 8 digits of my VIN. My dad gives it to them and they tell him I have a flex fuel truck. I thought it was kinda weird because I have no visible tags on my truck that says it.

Ok, random post over

It IS indeed more corrosive than regular blend gasoline, BUT the FFV Ranger came with special fuel lines (harder I believe) to withstand the corrosive nature of the E85.

My old 98 3.0 wasnt a flex fuel Im not sure what year they started making it an option between the two.

But I know for sure 99-05 I see alot of trucks here in ohio that are flex fuel not just 00 and 03's. I can tell by the leaf on the tailgate.

Also I beleive they came with bigger injectors as well.
