Replacing shocks all around, question(s)

Years back I had a 3" body lift installed. Before that, I replaced all my shocks with autozone shocks. With a body lift, is it still the same factory shocks? Or do I need special ones? I havent changed them in 5 years and Im wanting to find some good ones for less than $100 for all 4. Preferable soft smooth ride, when I got the autozone ones my ride was stiff.

Factory shocks is what you need. Body lift doesn't affect any of the suspension. 100$ for all 4 shocks... You get what you pay for.

Good luck finding that combination. You definitely get what you pay for with shocks. Save up a little more cash and get some Bilsteins.

I ended up buying Pro Comp Es1000 shocks all around. $150 for a set. Changed the back ones, just need the front. I can already feel a difference haha, love them.

Is the ride harder with Pro Comp Es1000? I am going to end up replacing the shocks in my ranger again but don't want anything harsh since it's all high way mileage..

Thanks,
-Nigel

I'm going with Pro Comp ES9000s.

From everything I have researched if you want a cushy ride and you are looking at getting Pro Comps, the best bet is the ES3000 series.

My pockets ain't deep enough for the Bilsteins, but most people on this forum seem to agree that the 5100 series Bilsteins are some of the best.
