Yeah you'll have to change the grill I believe, and after that there could be a gap. It also weighs a ton more.

There is also a difference between the 01-03 Powerdomes and the rest. The 01-03's have sharper angles/slopes on the hoods.

Notice how the new Powerdomes aren't straight across in the front? They now dip up to make room for the grill.

no it wont fit with your grill. the headlights are the same though. ive heard of guys cutting the leading edge of the hood to make the grill fit, but mines fiberglass so i wouldnt really want to do that. i have heard some of the powerdomes were actually steel or aluminum though.

Only way it'll fit is with a bunch of parts replacing. AKA the entire sheetmetal of the truck. fenders, rad core support, header panel, grille, headlights, etc...

04+ have a form of powerdome hood...more like a shallow powerdome.

Just like Casper said, you can mod a powerdome to fit an 04+. Two members have them...RangerExtreme and John(in the link casper provided). The other way to have a powerdome on an 04+, is converting the 04+ to an 01-03 front end. Header panel, grille, and obviously hood is pretty much all that's needed.

The real powerdome, the sought after one, is the 01-03 which came on XLT 4x4's and Edge trucks. Those will bolt onto any 98-03 truck. Some people ask me locally if I put on an aftermarket hood on the truck. Nope...stock budday. FTW.
