best muffler

Which muffler should I go with? I just want to get some sound of it so I don't really want to get a complete kit. I just wanted to cut out the old muffler and put another one in there. Has anyone tried a magnaflow or dynamax? I really don't like flowmasters because they usually rot out. Just wondering what people use and like.

what engine are we talking about here? i used to have a maggie on my 2.5, sounded ok, similar to having just no muffler just not as loud. can't say much for borla except alot of members on here have and like them, there a pretty penny too. i've never tried them either. -Mike-

for performance and sound Borla, for sound, flowmaster 40 series, and just a decent good muffler magnaflow. if it was me i would take flowmaster because its cheaper and has a 'tough' sound, but if you have some money to spend go with the borla, both sound very good.

I have a flowmaster 40 and I love it. I think it has the best sound that you can get out of a V6.
